In the inter-club the Bega golfers started the day 28 points behind the Eden team, but officials said hopes began to rise with the division winners all hailing from the Bega club.
In a dramatically close finish, Bega made up 25 points, but finished three shy of their southern rivals with Eden able to clinch the trophy for the year.
Best score of the day was Annette Britten in division three with 43 points.
Elyse Cuzner was division one winner with 33 and Janelle Holdsworth won division two with 35.
The Visitor's Trophy went to Sandy Huff with 33.
Wednesday's 9 Hole winner was Maria Vine.
Last Saturday Bega Ladies went to Tathra to play the first round of the Jellat Cup, Janelle Holdsworth was the best of the visitors with 36 Stableford points, with four others on 32, this gave us 164, 15 behind Tathra's 179 for their best five scores. Hopefully we can make this up in a few weeks for the return match.
On Monday the 10 Hole Ladies had Tathra join their competition and played a Dropout Ambrose. Winners were Rhonda Castellari, Di Evans, (Tathra), with Annette Britten and Gloria Clarke of Bega. Second place were Marg Kermode (Tathra), Sheila Schilling, Maria Vine and Sue Behl all of Bega.
Hit off is at 8.30 am each Monday, all welcome.
Sunday is the Annual Ball Drop with 4 prizes during the day which you must be there for, but the big drop winner doesn't have to be there. Good luck.
