Despite a 1-1 result in the first grade against the Bega Devils, the Tigers were able to score wins in the reserves and all-age women's draws.
A spokeswoman for the Wolumla club said the reserves were able to card a great 6-1 win over United.
"Leading 2-0 at the break, the boys picked up momentum in the second half, scoring serveral times in the final minutes," the spokeswoman said.
Stand-in captain-coach Blake Rosseland said the team played well from the outset with "plenty of passing and talk which was a pivotal part of the win".
"With so many new players in the squad it was great to see the team starting to gel so early in the season," he said.
The Tigers said their best on ground was Joe Fragnito, who was among the goal scorers, while Ry Polglase, James Moore, Dylan Lawson, Rosseland and Kip Clarke also found the net.
The Tigresses had a 3-0 win in the women's game.
"We have lots of new players," captain Kirsty McPaul said. "So it was great to see some awesome passages of passing and teamwork."
Coach Tom Adams said he was pleased with the individual effort shown by the girls, but also the unified team performance.
Newcomer Hazel Anderson scored two cracking goals off great lead-up work, while Caitlin Johnson was named best on ground out of the midfield, kicking a goal from long range.
Tathra officials said they were thrilled with the effort by the home women's squad - who defended resolutely despite being short of any substitutes.
"The Tathra team were much improved on their first outing last week and now look forward to future games after the school holidays when more players will be available," a spokesman said.
Keeper Helen Wall was praised for her efforts defending against the Tigers.
Officials said it was an unfortunate result for the reserves, but praised Brenton Earl who kicked a second half goal for United.
The Tigers also secured wins in the 12s and 14s games on the day.
As reported in Tuesday's paper, the Bega She-Devils went down to Eden 7-1 despite a wonderful defensive effort in the first half.
And the Devils hosted Wolumla in first grade with a 1-1 result, while the Tathra firsts had a bye.
The Far South Coast Football Association will now enjoy a general bye for the Easter long weekend with play to return on April 28.
After the first two rounds, Eden lead the women's competition with two straight wins, while the Bega Devils and Tathra lead the ladder.
