Making the road trip for an early class at Bill Smyth Memorial Oval, the Tathra and Narooma clubs will face an early draw at 10.30am on the weekend.
Team captain Cymmon Parker expects it will be a well contested game after both clubs posted 90-odd point victories in the first round.
"Last week we just played how we have been training - I know Pambula weren't at full strength which impacted the scoreline, but it was interesting to see they [Narooma] had a similar result against Merimbula," Ms Parker said.
"We've done great work in the pre-season and I think if we just keep playing the way we've trained then there isn't much more we can do."
Parker said the Eaglettes had nine new recruits last year, but only two pick ups for the new season with a majority of players staying on.
"With just two new players we've already had a year to work out where people play their best," she said.
"Most have stayed on and they're just improving, the extra experience is showing."
One shift was last week's goal-kicking weapon in Katherine Thompson who worked out of the back lines in 2018.
However, Sarah McMahon is one of the new recruits and just showed an instant affinity for the game.
Incoming coach Mark Coulton has been able to build on the foundation work done by Colin Funston in the previous seasons.
But with a greater understanding of positioning and terminology around the code, he has also been able to work on more advanced plays and less on basics and technical skills.
Ms Parker said if Narooma's outfit are anything like last year's combination it should be a magnificent contest.
"I don't know if it's the same Narooma roster from last year, but based on last week's scores, I think it's going to be a great match," she said.
