Race director Jake Lambie said it was usually only accessible to students, but would be home to a Tathra MTB Club ride this weekend.
There will be the 'Dirt Groms' for five-to-12-year-olds at 2pm as well as the open age race from 3pm utilizing the school's full loop.
"It's open to everyone, as long as you have a MTB Australia race licence, or you can purchase a licence on the day, then you're more than welcome to come ride around," Mr Lambie said.
"It's going to be about a 5.5km lap and the race will run for an hour or three laps, whichever comes first depending on your ability."
The youngest competitors will just ride the front loop, which is more free-flowing and with sweeping corners, while older kids and adults will ride the full lap, which includes a hilly technical section out the back.
Largely designed by students, Mr Lambie said many adults can be surprised by the challenging nature of the track, but it will give a great overview loop of the grounds.
"The start line is from the school oval, they'll go up through the school grounds and out into the front paddock and then finish off around the back," Mr Lambie said.
"It's a great opportunity to take in the surrounds and an awesome view from the top at the back."
Recent rain has also packed down the course and Mr Lambie said it should have plenty of grip.
A ride is planned for the college's 25-year anniversary during the Country Fair in May, details to come.
