Thursday’s event was a Single Stableford with the winner being Peter Wiley with a sensational score of 45 pts. The nearest to pins were won by; (9th) L Brown, (12th) L Billman, (15th) J Roberts.
Saturday’s event was a Single Stableford with wonderful conditions also producing some great scores. A grade winner with a competitive 39 pts was Andrew Donnelly whilst B grade winner was Laurie Billman with 34 pts. The round of the day was C grade winner Greg Bethell with a massive 45 pts. The nearest to pins were won by; (9th) A Donnelly, L Billman & C Smith, (12th Golden Shot) G Roberts, (15th) J Roberts & G Motbey, (17th) A Donnelly & C Leahy, (18th) J Kite & I Marr.
This week’s event is the November Monthly Medal and last qualifying round for the 2018 Medal of Medals to be held on December 1.
Ladies
Wednesday Bega Ladies played another round of the Summer Plate. Annette Britten had the best score of the day winning Div. 2 with 39 Stableford points. Winner of Div. 1 was Kerry Carter with 38 points and for the second week in a row just missing a hole in one by 6 inches on the 15th. The only Nearest the Pin winner was Veronica Coman with her 2nd shot on the 18th, no one managed to get on the 9th. Balls went to 34. We welcomed Marilyn Druitt and Coleen Atherton, who were both Bega members in the past, for the day’s play.
Saturday is the second round of the Jellat Cup against Tathra at Bega. As we are only just behind Tathra we need some good scores to win the Cup. Next Wednesday is a Stableford.
Monday’s 10-hole Ladies played a Stableford with very close results. Sue Behl, Annette Britten and Sharyn Whiting were equal first, and Janice Banfield and Marie Watson equal second. Sharyn won the Putting.
The AGM was held with no change in the committee, all reports showing a very successful 2018 for the Ladies Club.
