Bermagui development
I have lived in the area for 38 years. Quaama first then Wallaga Lake due to my house burning down. I do not want my children to be rated out. And this will happen if this infrastructure is allowed.

Many of us have our children and grandchildren in the area, they have stayed or come back to where they were brought up. This happened on the Central Coast. Young families that could not afford the rates because of awful development. Not to mention the elderly. How on earth could this person go ahead with this development knowing so many locals are against it? Shame.

Selfish decision
Quite simply, how would you like this giant box to replace the beautiful ocean views that you paid for? So selfish. Are you more worthy? You will have your way, of course. Thanks very much.
Lidj Livingston, Bermagui

Just letting you know the original building was not built in the 1960s as you stated but after 1975 as my family built it after relocating to Bermagui after Cyclone Tracy.

Life lessons
Most men think in black and white. Most ladies think in all the colours of the rainbow. My mum always taught me everyone is guilty till proven innocent. My wife is like Cinderella and thinks everyone is beautiful.
My dad always said you will never understand a woman. He was right after 54 years of marriage my understanding of the wife is still a work in progress.
The wife sees virtually everything different to me. For example as we are walking around the property she comments on things like the light shining off trees and the shapes of clouds. I am looking for snakes, spiders and a million and one jobs I will do one day. It's a bit like my very large garage I will clean up one day. My garage has a sign Bunnaldi. Most people think its Italian. What it really means is that it has 101 brand new unused tools in it and half come from Bunnings and the other half came from Aldi.
I know who the boss is though. I have met plenty of important people including the Pope and the only one who scares me is the wife. I worked out something though. If I ask her how she is going and she says she is okay, I know I am in trouble and better work out why pretty quick.
I am not stressing about this anymore because I have a new plan. When I get up each morning I am going to apologise for five things I don't know I have done yet so I can get in front.

Damage mitigation
While Forestry Corporation's donation of seedlings to help build koala habitat is commendable, I would like to see a similar gesture in regard to the forests which have been logged. I cannot see the Bodalla State Forest behind our property ever regenerating naturally after drastic logging recently.
If Forestry Corporation truly cared about restoring the environment to pre-logging conditions, reseeding logged areas could go some way toward mitigating the damage. It might also convince the community that the logging industry is not just about making money regardless of the often permanent destructive aftermath of its operations.

Keep it green
I am totally against any development in the Green Cape area as it is a very unique and pristine piece of coast line. It can also be very dangerous and you don't need hoards of people down there. I fished this area in the very early '70s for many years and was there when two fellow fisherman lost their lives at City Rocks. Please leave this area for the rock fishermen who respect their environment thanks.
