The Sapphire Coast Kart Club were able to successfully host their second Club Day of the season on Sunday.

With support from Bega Excavation and Drainage as well as the Tea Tree Road House the club were able to offer racing for an energetic field of 21 racers on the day.
Club officials said it was a wonderful turnout with the club welcoming four girls, while the karters also welcomed young gun Oscar Haddon made his debut in the cadet 9s.
The day consisted of three heats and a finals race with all six classes putting on a great show of close and competitive racing throughout the day, officials said.
At the conclusion of racing Ryan Deborre claimed pole in the Cadet 9s with Oscar Haddon securing second in his maiden race meet. Cody Williams secured third.
Aidan Williams won the Cadet 12s ahead of Kaleb Belak in second place with Brodie Radford in third.
In the KA4 Junior Light class Rhylee Jackson headed the field from Liam Walther and Annabella Hutchinson.
In the KA4 junior heavy first went to Chloe Radford. In the Tag125 restricted lights first was Matthew Parker from Michael Platts and third was Juho Maliniemi. In the Tag125 unrestricted lights Blake Motbey claimed first ahead of Lance Ogier.
With easing restrictions around COVID-19 across NSW the club were able to welcome spectators for the first time this year.
Officials said it was wonderful to see so many spectators able to head along and support the club in its return to racing, while officials also thanked the volunteers, drivers, parents and families who took part.
"Without you, we wouldn't be able to do what we do and we can't wait for Round three in August which will be partnered by Independent Battery Supplies," a spokeswoman said.
There are four more race days on the calendar for the club with the headline event being the Sapphire Cup which is set to run on the weekend of November 7-8.
The weekend attracts racers from Canberra, Victoria and across NSW and the club said they were hopeful to welcome everyone again this year.
