The most popular baby names on the South Coast in 2018 have been revealed, with two new names taking the top spots.
The number one names from the previous two years - Jack and Charlotte - have been knocked off the top spots, but still rank in the top five.
Oliver for a boy, and Evie for a girl were the most popular names for newborns, as chosen by South Coast and Illawarra parents in 2018.

Trending across the region from Eden to the Illawarra were the names Oliver, William, Thomas, Evie, Amelia, Ava and Ruby and Grace.
The most popular girls names across the South Coast in 2018 were: Amelia, Evie, Ruby, Willow, Evelyn, Grace, Ivy, Zoe, Ava, and Ella.
The most popular boys names across the South Coast in 2018 were: Charlie, Cooper, Levi, Oliver, Henry, Thomas, William, Eli, Harry, and Logan.
Across Australia, the most popular names in 2018 were Oliver, William and Jack for boys and Charlotte, Olivia and Ava for girls.
Names making the top 100 for the first time include Freya (66th), Harlow (85th), and Millie (96th) for girls; and Arthur (83rd), Bodhi (93rd) and Jude (94th), McCrindle research showed.
