Voting from a national expert jury and televoting across Europe helped to choose the ten finalists who will join automatic grand finalists Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom and Australia on stage on Sunday.
Making it through were Albania, Armenia, Russia, Romania, Hungary, Greece, Estonia, Georgia, Serbia and Belgium.
The final ten finalists will be chosen in the second semi-final.
Australian audiences will be able to watch the second semi-final live Friday morning and participate in the vote before joining the live grand final on Sunday morning.
