Head along to the Frogs Hollow circuit south of Bega on November 5, 6, and 7 - for a day or for the whole weekend - and enjoy some close competition from the many classes racing, with competitors starting from age seven.
All classes will be racing throughout the weekend with some hot competition expected through four heats and a final to determine the Sapphire Cup winners.
The track will open Friday for competitors to set up their pit bay with free practise sessions for all entrants run in class order throughout the day.
Saturday will see a six-minute carby session followed by qualifying and then at 9am straight into the first round of four 14-lap heats.
It's hoped all classes will get to complete three heats each on Saturday leaving a final 14-lap heat and a 16-lap final for the Sunday.
Free camping is available at the track with a number of fireplaces located around the camping area. Alternatively the nearby townships of Merimbula and Bega have excellent accommodation.
The club canteen will be open from 7am each day providing a variety of refreshments and food.
Meanwhile, the club has been invited by several time national champion Troy Hunt to run a training day "Junior Sprockets" in January
Hunt now focuses on introducing kids to karting and improving existing licenced cadets and juniors. There will be a limited number of places available so get in early to secure a spot.
The Sapphire Coast Kart Club is always on the lookout for new members and volunteers. If you would like to be involved in this exciting motor sport, speak to any of the officials over the weekend.
