Sports Aviation Flight College Australia’s development application (DA) seeks approval for the first stage of construction of a flying school that would provide packages to students including accommodation, meals, tuition and flight training.
The proposed development, on the Princes Hwy in Frogs Hollow, would consist of one main building containing offices, assembly and dining areas, two workshop buildings, 20 hangar buildings, 10 squadron compounds comprising accommodation, school, classroom, communal area, utility area and laundry, a carparking building, roads, a bridge, water storage tanks and fuel storage tanks.
Chair of the Southern Regional Planning Panel Pam Allan invited the community to have their say on the flying school DA.
“We need to hear from the community, so we can capture their views in the planning process,” she said.
“We will then review the merits of the proposal and listen to the views of the community before making our decision.”
The public panel meeting to discuss the proposed Sports Aviation Flight College in Bega Valley will be held on Thursday, December 13 from 4pm in the Bega Valley Commemorative Civic Centre at Zingel Place, Bega.
If you wish to register to speak at the meeting, contact the planning panel’s secretariat before 4pm on Tuesday, December 11 on 8217 2060 or email enquiry@planningpanels.com.au.
