The highway was closed for five days from Monday, March 16 for work to improve safety by replacing a large concrete pipe below the road surface.
Motorists are advised a small section of the highway, about one kilometre east of Pipers Lookout, remains unsealed.
Warning signs have been installed and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h will be in place for motorists’ safety.
The highway will be reduced to one lane up until Friday, April 3 to complete the project.
Traffic control will be in place to guide motorists through the work site.
Roads and Maritime thanks motorists for their patience while this work is carried out.
