The Rotary Club of Merimbula will be holding a community breakfast from 9am at Rotary Park, Lake Street, Merimbula on Australia Day and encourages everyone to enjoy a sausage sizzle breakfast whilst listening to some music.
Paul Dion and members of the Sapphire Coast Jazz Band will be playing music with an Australian theme and some jazz favourites.
There will be a coffee van on site as well.
Gai Byrne of Merimbula Rotary said they wanted to have something, "something that felt like normal", but decided to keep it simple.
A gold coin donation would be appreciated to assist the club which returns money back into the community through its voluntary service. Please bring a chair or blanket to sit on.
The float
Every year many locals and visitors take to the water for the Merimbula float on Australia Day to float towards Spencer Park on the outgoing tide. Low tide is at 11am at the bridge.
