On Thursday, a NSW Ambulance spokesperson said the man was in his 70s and woman was in her 50s, and both had sustained severe head injuries in the incident.
The spokesperson said both patients had initially been trapped in the car and were taken to Canberra by helicopter with a specialist medical team.
EARLIER: A car rolled near Cobargo on Wednesday afternoon, resulting in two people being trapped.
A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said the service had received a call for assistance at 2.45pm that afternoon and had sent two crews to the scene while a special medical team was on its way via helicopter.
The crash occurred on the Princes Hwy near Billaroy Rd south of Cobargo.
The spokesperson said a male and a female had both sustained serious head injuries and were being treated at the scene, while Fire and Rescue NSW was assisting extracting them from the vehicle.
Traffic is affected in both directions.
