At 2.45am, police said they attempted to stop a man on the Princes Highway, south of the Batemans Bay bridge.
"The pursuit continued at the posted speed limit or below, all the way to Nowra," a Batemans Bay Police spokesman said.
"Police deployed spikes at Milton but were unsuccessful and he kept going."
At 3.50am, a spike strip stopped the vehicle at South Nowra.
The spokesman said the man attempted to run from police before being arrested.
Victorian police had issued a notice of concern for the man's welfare on the evening of November 19.
The man was charged with police pursuit and is due to appear in Nowra Local Court on November 20.
