This is the second year that the quirky festival has run in Nimmitabel and according to chamber member Kel Fahey it's a great opportunity to dress to your wildest imagination in a combination of technology and heritage for the period 1880 to 1920.
"It's a huge weekend of entertainment, market stalls, fashion parades along with a spot of parasol duelling and teapot races," Mr Fahey said.
"If people don't have the fashions to dress-up Steampunk style, they can acquire them from one of the many vendors in Nimmitabel on the weekend.
"We even have something for the children, if you want to be Harry Potter or make your own time machine, Nimmitabel is the place to be next weekend," he said.
Among the entertainment playing around town over the weekend is Holden Brothers Street Circus, Morris Dancers, Blue Angel and Dr Wiedemann, Classical Guitar Duo with Allan and Leslie Spencer along with Littmus Steampunk Band.
During the afternoon on Saturday, the Nimmitabel Lion's Club is holding a community barbecue in the Geldmacher Courtyard.
You may also like to try your hand at a spot of Parasol Duelling in the Elephant Playround.
On Saturday evening there is a dance and entertainment in the Pioneer Memorial Hall with doors opening at 6pm.
Food vendors will be open for dinner service with the main entertainment by the Littmus Steam Punk Band.
On Sunday there are fashion parades in the Geldmacher Couryard with categories for men, women, couples and children.
Nimmitabel's main street businesses will be open for trading throughout the weekend.
Steampunk Classics on film will be screened throughout the day in the Pioneer Memorial Hall along with a special screening of Della Mortika and Q&A with the filmaker between 1.20 to 2pm on Sunday.
