The Bega Rotary Club allocated funds from its book fair in January to the Nippers for eight new surf boards to replace old, damaged ones.
The chair of Rotary Marg Taylor said she was delighted to officially handover the surf boards to the Nippers recently during the swimmers' training.
"Congratulations to Tathra Surf Life Saving Club on the fantastic work they do in training these children," Ms Taylor said.
"Most Sunday mornings you will find approximately 200 children on Tathra Beach taking part in the training activities with the club."
She said Rotary appreciated being involved in youth activities such as this.
"Parents are also commended in supporting the children in these activities and giving up their Sunday mornings," Ms Taylor said.
