Cooma Car Club
The Cooma Car Club is holding another three separate hill climb events this weekend and one highlight is the first appearance by Daniel Burton in a super charged Honda S2000 on Sunday.
The weekend kicks off with scrutineering at 9am Saturday, followed by ‘come and try’ timed but not recorded runs for junior drivers (14 to 17 years) and 18+ drivers who would like to try out on the Mount Gladstone track.
The ‘come and try’ event enables participants to develop skills by experiencing car control in a safe environment.
Entry to this event has now been extended to allow other drivers to practice for Sunday’s event.
In the afternoon, the meet will take on an historical feel with a Classic Hill Climb for 1988 manufacture or older cars.
Sunday is the regular hill climb open vehicles ranging from road registerable Type 1-2 2WD production vehicles up to modified Type 3 AWD vehicles; and more highly modified Type 4 production based 2WD sports sedans.
The hill climbs run from 9.30am to around 4pm both days at the Mount Gladstone Road track.
