The first two ducks across the line will win cash prizes for their happy owners – $300 and $150 respectively – and there will also be a prize of $50 for the lucky last duck.
The family event will also see Bermagui CRAB president Graeme Struthers present cheques for $15,000 to Cancer Council NSW and $5000 to Can Assist, Bega Valley.
“The generosity of people and businesses throughout the Far South Coast continues to enable us to provide material support to the great work being carried out by Can Assist and Cancer Council NSW,” Mr Struthers said.
“These presentations bring total donations through CRABS to approaching $350,000 in just nine years.”
The duck race will be on Sunday, September 30 at midday at the Bermagui Bridge.
The plastic ducks can be purchased for $5 each on the day, from CRAB members and at supporting businesses, or by contacting the organisers via www.crab.org.au.
There will also be a sausage sizzle and a jumping castle for kids.
