Battye claimed the win overall in the up to 300cc section riding his Kawasaki Ninja in round five of the Super Bike series at Queensland’s Morgan Park Raceway.
“They were Awesome races all weekend,” Battye told ASBK officials.
“The last race I managed to get a bit of clean air which meant I could concentrate harder, to take the win overall.
“I can’t thank my team enough for putting together a really great package that is a strong podium contender in the class.”
Round six will be the penultimate round of the series and will go ahead on September 8 at Eastern Creek, part of Sydney’s Motorsport Park.
With just the two rounds remaining, Battye looks like a shoe-in for the 300cc crown with an 80 competition point lead over his nearest rival.
Battye is excited to head to Sydney for the event “Bring on round six!”
