Devils first grade soccer coach Jordan Stafford said he had no special message for the side at training this week.
“There was nothing that I haven’t said or done all year [at training],” Stafford said.
“We’re going in with the same message we’ve had all year to focus on playing as a team.”
Bega has suffered just one loss this season, but won’t be getting complacent when it gets on ground for the grand final.
However, the talent through the line-up is undeniable and the coach won’t be looking to anyone in particular for a standout showing.
“I’m not looking to any one person, I am hoping everyone steps up to the occasion and shines on through,” Stafford said.
The Penguins defeated the Merimbula Grasshoppers in the preliminary final through fringe play and a heavy-footed back line.
Meanwhile, the Devils like to play a fast controlled passing game and the majority of possession will be coming out of the midfield.
The Devils can certainly match Pambula for speed with some of the fastest players in the league in attack and on the wings.
Pambula will look to some of its key players, which Stafford said will be well-marked on Sunday.
“Of course we like to play our way, but they do have a few key players that we like to shut out as best we can,” he said.
Last year the Devils were short of influential players, but there is no such problem this time around.
“We’ve got the full team which is good, it’s handy to have the entire roster available,” Stafford said.
However, the side is hoping to have a strong contingent of supporters.
Stafford said “the more the better” when it came to fans and hoped to see a sea of red on the grand stand.
The first grade grand final will run at the Eden Soccer Ground from 2.40pm.
