On Friday, June 27, residents are invited to come and touch, and photograph, one of the 50-metre blade propellers as it makes its stop over on the way to the Nimmitabel wind farm site.
Spokeswoman for wind farm project, Siobhan Isherwood, said the blade parade would be an unique opportunity for children and adults alike.
“What we are attempting to create is an opportunity for people to get close to and even walk over these giant blades,” Ms Isherwood said.
“On the day we will have project engineers and a driver on hand to answer any questions people have about the transport or the wind farm itself.”
“From our perspective it is an opportunity to give students and the community a chance to engage with the turbines.”
Children from Bombala and Bibbenluke public school, Bombala High School and St Joseph’s will view the blades from 11.30am to 1.30pm.
Residents wishing to see them are asked to come after 1.30pm.
The truck will be parked on the corner of Maybe and Young streets.
