The exhibition Seating Arrangements is on from May 6 to May 25 and includes twenty individual works by local artist Tim Moorhead featuring a series of chairs.
Moorhead said his inspiration for the work came from a consideration of how personal belongings reflect the owner's personality.
"Chairs all have individual characteristics depending on design, materials that make them up, age, colour and where they are placed. All of us have a favourite chair or two. These are some of mine," he said.
Seating Arrangements is an extension of Moorhead's last series of paintings, which featured larger interiors with chairs and rugs. For this exhibition Moorhead has focused more centrally on chairs, including a handcrafted wooden chair made by a close friend who passed away last year.
"Every time you do a series of work it leads to something else. It's more about how you build up year after year and how it's always evolving," Mr Moorhead said.
Mr Moorhead said he felt drawn to paint interiors and personal belongings after the summer bushfires.
"This series came from thinking about how so many people lost their possessions in the fires a few years ago."
"Chairs are interesting. People are always saying that's my favourite chair, or you're sitting in my chair. And I've always been interested in the design and look of chairs and how they reflect a person's personality."
Mr Moorhead was a finalist in the 2022 River of Art Prize in Narooma earlier this year.
