A portion of Buckajo Road will be closed for a month as crews work to replace the Meringola Creek Bridge.
A spokesperson from Bega Valley Shire Council said local contractors would "commence work to replace Meringola Creek Bridge from Tuesday, April 26".
"A full road closure at the bridge will be in place from Wednesday, April 27, with the new bridge expected to be open on Friday, May 27, weather permitting," they said.
"Buckajo Road northwest of Merginola Creek Bridge will only be accessible via the Snowy Mountains Highway.
"Access to the east side will only be via West Street in North Bega.
"Signs will be in place for the duration of the works."
The spokesperson thanked affected residents of the Shire for their patience throughout the work.
The project to replace the Meringola Creek Bridge is funded by Transport for NSW and the NSW Government as part of the Fixing Country Bridges Program.
