The South East Regional Hospital is seeking helpful volunteers for a new guide desk currently being installed.

The main purpose of the guide desk is to help patients and visitors find their way to appointments or to wards to see loved ones.
The Hospital Guide Desk will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, and volunteers will work in conjunction with reception staff to guide clients to appropriate rooms as required.
Ward clerk Jenny Francis said volunteers would be provided with training and orientation, with "fun and friendship also supplied!"
"The role embraces the highest principals of customer service with volunteers providing information, support and guidance," Jenny said.
"You will get to meet people from all backgrounds and cultures, learn new skills and make new friends."
The desk will be run on weekdays 8.30-11.30am and 12-3pm.
If you would like to volunteer to join the guide desk, contact Jenny Francis on (02) 6491 9400 or Jenny.Francis1@health.nsw.gov.au.
