Core Asset Development announced the purchase of the motel via its social media accounts this week, saying it would be renamed the Mid Town Motel and accommodation would be available again by the end of the month.
CAD said the purchase was "an important step to ensure housing availability for the labour required to build the Sapphire of Eden Apartments" and to give travellers and tourists more options within the township of Eden.
CAD sales and marketing manager Hanna Marshall said the 14 rooms in the motel were all receiving a facelift and would be made available via online booking sites "very soon".
"There are 14 rooms in total, all will have TVs with streaming services, fridges and microwaves. The outdoor area will also be rejuvenated to include a spa, outdoor seating area and a barbecue," she said.
Ms Marshall said CAD would be making use of one of the included shopfronts as its sales office and staff workspace for both the Sapphire of Eden and Australasia projects.
Meanwhile, the other two shopfronts will be available for lease, for which Ms Marshall reports there had already been plenty of interest expressed.
