Show compassion for medical exempt non-maskers
It has come to my attention due to very uncomfortable, and anxiety causing circumstances, that some of the general public, along with local shopkeepers, are unaware of the fact that some people have "medical exemptions" for wearing masks.

The NSW Government has ordered a mandatory mask rule for the entirety of NSW, as we are all aware of by now.
However, most people are unaware that refusing entry or service from any business, site, or venue, for someone who has a "medical expemtion" is an act of discrimination, under the commonwealth disability discrimination act 1992.
I personally have a medical exemption, and personally been refused entry to a business when needing to buy menstrual pads.
I stood outside the shop crying. I was then told that once everyone left the shop I could enter. The shopkeeper was as kind as they usually are, but was not educated on the law by their employer, and was thrown in the deep end having to deal with this unfortunate circumstance.
So I am writing to you tonight, to shine some light on the situation, and hopefully bring some awareness to the general public. One reason for medical exemptions include the fact that someone has suffered from sexual abuse, and suffers anxiety from face coverings for several reasons. Others include autism, ADHD, PTSD/PTSI, anxiety, asthma, hearing impairments, and really the list goes on. I am calling for some respect in the community, some compassion, and for people to have a heart.
We have been through so much the past year. In these tough times, we should be all standing together, no matter what ability we have.

Praise for kind insight on jetting
A lot of credit to BVSC employees Edan Jeffs and Sigior Brotherton for the way they inform and help people to understand and resolve concerns about jetting.
I was very impressed with their ability and courtesy to the elderly.

Vaccination rate shockingly low
It is so sad that after 16 months Australia has not yet progressed satisfactorily with regards to Covid inoculations.
I quote Alan Kohler's words from The New Daily, 28 June 2021.
"Other countries are opening up and allowing businesses to operate because more than half the population has had at least one dose; the Australian government has fully vaccinated 4.3 per cent of the population, less than half the world average and a tenth of the UK and America. And that's because Australia's vaccination rate is pitiful".
However Scotty from Sales (please don't insult professional marketers) can only respond with "how good is that".

Uncertainty sees events shutdown
Netball Australia has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 National Netball Championships due to the national coronavirus situation.
The decision was made based on the relevant health advice, with the safety of all participants and the wider community the priority. The event was due to be held at Hobart Netball and Sports Centre from 4-11 July.
This is certainly not the position we hoped to be in, and we can only imagine the disappointment and frustration of our players, coaches and umpires
I'd like to thank Netball Tasmania, who have worked so hard to deliver an exceptional event experience, only to have the event cancelled for the second consecutive year.
Unfortunately, the unpredictability and instability of the coronavirus pandemic isn't going away and our priority is always the safety of our participants.
