SEWACS (South East Women and Children's Services) is an organisation that offers homelessness, domestic violence and youth support services across the Bega Valley and Eurobodalla shires.
"The staff and management deserve this award, I think they've worked above and beyond under trying circumstances," said SEWACS regional manager Caroline Long, who attended the night and collected the award.
The awards were run by Community Industry Group, the peak body for community organisations in Southern NSW.
The award category in which SEWACS was successful was 'Transformation and Reinvention' and it was awarded for its efforts in adapting, overcoming and enhancing its services to match the challenges faced from October 2019 through to February 2021.
Ms Long said she was very proud of all the staff and management who had risen to the occasion.
"What I see now is a vibrant team, who has never lost sight of their commitment to the people they support," Ms Long said.
