A tiny gallery space has been set up at the Tathra Hotel featuring a range of local ceramicists.

The little gallery on wheels was designed and built by Tathra architect Sandra Behrendt with her partner and landscaper Karl Eddy.
Their journey with ceramics began two years ago when another potter Dan Garretson, who runs the Broken Rock Workshop, set up a small studio at Mr Eddy's property.
"We both have a bit of an arty background but we had never been into pottery... we were so curious and Dan was very helpful so we were able to explore it," said Ms Behrendt.
"It's a beautiful material to work with, it's so broad and offers such freedom but then it's also really technical and has so many sides to it. You get to work with your hands when you model it and apply all these different textures."

Ms Behrendt said her and her partner were lacking artistic engagement in their lives and wanted to connect with other artists.
"We build these tiny studios ourselves so we did have this tiny available to us and so put two-and-two together and that then evolved into this idea."
Through their connections with the Tathra Hotel, they were able to park the gallery which they called KASAPI on-site and use lunchtime hours to work in the gallery space in between their professional jobs.
What started as a small project over the Easter holidays has evolved into the gallery remaining a while longer, without a definite end date in sight.
"It's just so beautiful to give the artists an outlet or platform and the opportunity to sell their products.
"We have connected with about 10 other artists and they have their products on show... it's just been beautiful to connect to that local community."
One of the featured artists is Tanja based Laurentia Jung who primarily worked with acrylics before discovering a deep love for molding clay.
She has worked with ceramics for about three years.
"I decided to join KASAPI to step out of my comfort zone, challenge myself, share my work and meet new people," said Ms Jung.
"It's a lot of fun to have my works in this little gallery alongside many other amazing local artists.
"Sandra and Karl have created a very welcoming, inclusive little project that I feel honoured to be a part of."
The gallery is open 7 days a week from 1pm until 3pm.
