The Bega River at North Bega tipped over the "moderate" flood level of seven metres overnight Tuesday following significant rain across the district.

At 11pm on March 23, the river peaked at 7.38 metres, before dropping below the 7m mark by 2am Wednesday.
The SES reports rainfall has eased and no further rain is forecast, with the river height now falling.
However, minor flooding remains with numerous roads closed and landholders affected.
People in areas affected by flooding are urged to take the following advice from SES.
Motorists should never drive through floodwaters, which may have washed away road surfaces and could be deeper and faster-flowing than they look;
Stay up to date with information via NSW SES alerts, Bega Valley Shire Council website for road closures, and local media for updates.
Check on your family, friends and neighbours and share information;
Farmers and rural landholders should watch the river and be ready to move pumps, equipment and livestock from rising waters.
