South Coast Motorcycle Club president Jason Smith said he was thrilled the track was recognised for its racing, layout and condition after hosting the round last February.
Motorcycling NSW had praised the course last year saying it was among the few tracks where spectators got an overview of the complete layout, while riders also praised conditions. "Some of the riders said our dirt and track conditions were they best they had seen in many months," a spokesman said after the event.
The club will host the Southern qualifier of the series, which will ultimately decide the State's MX Champions.
And the reputation of the circuit has spread quickly in motocross circles with entries swelling by about 30 per cent ahead of the weekend.
"Last year we had around 140 riders competing over 150 rides - with some riders competing in multiple classes," Mr Smith said.
"But this year we've got 190 entries and about 250 rides."
Former MX Nationals and Australian Supercross winner Matt Moss will be one of the headline contenders coming for the weekend, while Mr Smith said there were also some highly entertaining local riders for fans to cheer on.
Some of the state's best up-and-comers are also set to take part with some highly ranked juniors ready to let the dirt fly.
"We've also got really strong and growing entries from the girls, which is wonderful to see," Mr Smith said.
Mr Smith encourages any motocross fans to head along and enjoy the racing with free entry and full amenities for spectators.
The club urges everyone follow social distancing measures, while the club will provide sanitising stations around the spectator area.
"We'll be following the standard distancing guidelines that everyone is pretty used to at this point, but we have plenty of room and lots of space for parking and everyone is welcome," Mr Smith said.
He said the weekend would be highly entertaining, while drawing in a mass of riders could help bring some dollars into the Valley after another summer with lost trade.
Mr Smith said club officials had been working hard for around a month in preparation to host the King of MX, while two recent working bees meant the track was in spectacular condition for riders to get some air time.
"There has been plenty of hard work going into it ... we've had a lot of people come and help us and the track is in mint condition," he said.
Racing will run across Saturday and Sunday with a full day of high-flying dirt-churning events to run from 9am each day. The course is located at the Sapphire Speedway in Tantawangalo.
