Kmart expects the store to be operational by January 27 as signposted on the building's entrance.
It is understood that existing Target workers have been offered to join the new Kmart team, according to details on the website.
The business will also provide workers in-depth training ahead of the proposed opening date.
K Hubs are expected to be slightly different to current Kmart stores, focusing mainly on products such as kids, home and clothing.
The Bega Target will be among the many that have closed to reopen with the new K hub branding across Australia, with the new endeavour now numbering 50 stores.
According to Kmart, K hubs would look more colourful than the general stores and have made 'light touch' makeovers to avoid long store closures.
Kmart said they had big plans to evolve the look of their stores over time, but will start with a basic overlay so that customers can have easy access to the everyday items they need.
