Transport minister Paul Toole the new testing sites at Taree, Narrabarba and Forbes would play a crucial role in making sure essential goods get where they need to go.
"These extra testing sites will build on existing measures to keep freight workers healthy and safe," Mr Toole said.
Pop-up sites are located at Narrabarba on the Princes Highway south of Eden, Taree Service Centre on the Pacific Highway and near Forbes on the Newell Highway.
"From up north at Taree, out west to Forbes and right down south to Narrabarba, these new locations mean a majority of the key freight routes across NSW now have a pop-up testing site in place for freight workers," Mr Toole said.
"Hundreds of freight workers have already been using the easily accessible sites at Narrandera and Tarcutta, so they can take a voluntary COVID-19 test on a rolling seven day basis.
"The freight industry continues to deliver for the community to ensure food and household supplies as well as important medical supplies get to where they are needed most and we will continue to give them the support they need to keep doing that."
Narrandera and Tarcutta continue to operate seven days a week 24 hours per day.
