Nine Penalty Infringement Notices have been issued to crew members and passengers travelling on a boat from Victoria to the Gold Coast after they disembarked on NSW soil breaching Public Health Orders.

NSW Police Force Marine Area Commend launched an investigation into the movement of the boat with inquiries revealing six people had disembarked from the boat in NSW.
Inquiries revealed three occasions in which individuals had disembarked the vessel in contravention of the Public Health Order.
They were at Eden on Wednesday, August 12, Port Stephens on Sunday, August 16 and Yamba on Friday, August 21.
Officers from Tweed Heads Water Police, with the assistance of Queensland Police, spoke with six people on Friday and advised them they would be issued with PINs for failing to comply with the Public Health (COVID-19 Maritime Quarantine) Order.
The skipper of the boat was issued with three $1000 PINs for disembarking at Eden, Port Stephens and Yamba and the owner of the vessel received two PINs for disembarking at Eden and Yamba.
Another four people, three passengers and a crew member were all issued with $1000 PINs for leaving the vessel at Eden.
