As a result people will have to reapply for a new permit to enter NSW from Victoria if they remain eligible to do so.
Border zone residents with a permit will only be able to cross into the other side of the NSW-Victorian border if they have to attend work, obtain medical care, supplies or access health services.
A permit is available to NSW from Victoria for medical or hospital services that you cannot get remotely and access to emergency medical, hospital, dental or veterinary care will be allowed without a permit if you enter NSW and travel by the most direct route to where the service is provided.
Seasonal workers from Victoria are no longer permitted entry into NSW.
Critical service providers except for freight, are required to self-isolate except when providing the critical service.
The self-isolation period is for 14 days when someone enters NSW from Victoria.
Some residents from Bendoc and Delegate River who currently access Bombala may not be able to do so however they will still be able to access Delegate.
Border residents can check whether their address falls within the newly established border restrictions by visiting the Service NSW website.
Applicants are urged to ensure that the border zone resident category is selected when applying for the COVID-19 NSW border entry permit to prevent delays in processing the application.
