A man will appear in court on the Far South Coast after being charged with allegedly possessing child abuse material.

Officers from South Coast Police District attended a home in Merimbula about 2.30pm on Tuesday, February 18, and allegedly located child exploitation material on a device, which was seized for forensic examination.
The 48-year-old was arrested and taken to Bega Police Station where he was charged with possess child abuse material.
He was refused bail to appear before Bega Local Court on Wednesday, February 19.
