The NSW Rural Fire Service said active pockets of fire remained on the Far South Coast on Thursday, but by the afternoon there was no immediate threat to life or property.

The western face of Mumbulla Mountain saw some fire activity late on Wednesday, but other than that fire activity in the Badja Forest Road Fire had eased. Firefighters have continued to patrol along burnt edges to reduce the risk of fire spread.
The Big Jack Mountain and Postmans Trail Fires have joined, but fire activity eased on Thursday and firefighters were working to establish effective control over it.
The Chalk Hill Road Fire in the Yurammie State Forest has been contained.
The Border Fire continued to burn south of the Rocky Hall and New Buildings areas and while fire activity has eased there were still large areas of uncontained fire.
