Ashley Sorenson, of Tura Beach, had previously pleaded not guilty to causing the death of the animals.
According to court documents, police allege the 32-year-old used a Mazda BT-50 Ute to kill 21 eastern grey kangaroos at Tura Beach on September 28, 2019.
Sorenson did not appear in person at Bega Local Court on Tuesday, January 14, when his case was heard before Magistrate Doug Dick.
Magistrate Dick adjourned the matter to January 28.
