Saturday, December 28, 2.09pm: A two-vehicle crash north of Moruya has closed the Princes Highway from North Head Road to Broulee Road.
The crash was reported shortly after 1pm on Saturday, December 28, south of Larrys Mountain Road.
A police spokesman said a southbound vehicle had pulled to the left of the highway and then attempted a U-turn, colliding with a northbound four-wheel drive towing an empty horse float.
The four-wheel drive has then struck a power pole. It is understood people involved have sustained minor injuries. The power pole is in danger of falling and blocking the highway or pulling other poles down with it.
Inspector Greg Flood said a replacement pole was being delivered but the highway could be closed for several hours.
Northbound traffic was being diverted via North Head Road and southbound traffic via Broulee Road, putting pressure on George Bass Drive.
Inspector Flood urged drivers to avoid the area if possible.
More details as they come to hand.
