The funds were raised from the stores' recent Tradies Golf Day.
Sapphire Hardware sees a link between its customers and the work that SPAN does with men's health and mental health and is proud to support the group.
Red Cross raffle
Mr. J. Went of Bemboka was the lucky winner of the Christmas Hamper raffled by the Wolumla Red Cross. The winning ticket was drawn by Woolworths Tura Beach staff, Jan and Alison.
Wolumla Red Cross wishes to thank the raffle donors, including Bega Cheese and Woolworths Tura Beach, as well as all the people who bought tickets to support us in our fund raising.
Wolumla Red Cross meets at the Wolumla Hall at 2pm on the second Monday of each alternate month, with the next meeting on January 13. New members would be most welcome.
Parkinson's group luncheon
The Bega Valley Parkinson's Support Group held it's Christmas luncheon at Club Sapphire with 28 members in attendance.
The President would like to take this opportunity to thank Ben Smyth from Bega District News and Denise Dion from Merimbula News Weekly for their continued support in keeping Parkinson in the forefront of the public.
The next meeting will be held on February 3, 2020.
Tathra auxiliary
The Tathra Hospital Auxiliary would like to thank all who contributed in any way to our fund-raising functions during the past year and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and hope to see you again in 2020.
50th anniversary
Tathra couple Jim and Helen Kelly celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary earlier this month.
Jim and Helen were married 50 years ago on December 13, 1969, at Saint Paul's Anglican Church at Kincumber (on the Central Coast).
Shortly after they were married they resided in Tathra, where they raised their three children.
They now have seven grandchildren.
