As results were released to students on Tuesday morning, several stood out for graduating Bega High students.
Principal Linda Thurston was particularly pleased to announce the school had eight students out of the cohort of 79 make the NSW merit list - at least one subject result in the highest band possible.
Two students achieved more than one Band 6 result and one of them actually had five Band 6 subject results.

Subjects in which BHS students achieved the highest band included Music, Biology, Physics, Mathematics, PDHPE, Spanish beginners, Food Technology, Chemistry and Engineering Studies.
"So it was a great mix of subjects and we're pleased to not only be able to offer those subjects, but see our students achieve top results in them," Ms Thurston said.
"We're very pleased as we know many will go on to university, but even if they don't they have set themselves up for more training or for a positive start in the workforce."
