Almost a dozen players from the local association were invited to take part in the competition after their recent strong performances in representative play.
Players have been split across four teams and given the chance to play alongside and against their own local team-mates as well as many players from the ACT Meteors and Australian squads.
Northern Frenzy and Western Crash have both hit the ground running with back-to-back wins at Kippax Oval on the weekend.
Sharna Mitchell, Jessie Mudaliar, Amy Wells, and Talia Moreton-Stewart all play for the Northern outfit with Cobargo's Jade Allen vice-captain of the squad.
The Frenzy claimed their first win Saturday morning, defeating the Southern Pride by just three runs.
Sharna knocked five not-out in the dying stages of play after Zoe Cooke had laid the foundation with 56 and Matilda Lugg had added 41 to finish on 5/143
Jessie picked up one of just three wickets for the Frenzy outfit in their reply, while Jade also bowled but did not clean up any stumps with the Southern side running short of time to finish 3/140 after Anna Lanning mustered a match-best 71 not-out.
Sharna and Jade both cleaned up two wickets apiece in the club's second win over the Eastern Fever, one apiece with a ball and a catch each.
The wickets flowed steadily with the Fever finishing their 20 overs on 8/106.
Jessie and Jade had a bat, but didn't have to do much to the scoreboard after Carly Leeson had piled on 64 runs. Jessie was stumped for a single by Bega's Yasmin Welsford at keeper, while Jade scored seven not-out to finish the innings at 2/107.
Meanwhile, the Western squad featuring Narooma's Mel Tiffen and Eden's Jemma Pollock secured the biggest score of the weekend as they piled on a 2/183 result.
Erica Kershaw retired on 73 off just 40 balls, hammering the Eastern Fever bowling attack.
South Euro's Madelyne Czubara had the best with the bat for the Fever, knocking 28 runs, but the Fever didn't come close, finishing on 4/101.
In the second round against Southern pride, both Janet King and Tyjana Blacka missed the chance to bat as the Pride put on a steady, but modest run rate to finish at 7/116.
The Crash outfit were kept to a much more modest score in their second round with the Western outfit finishing on 7/117 for the result in the final over of play.
The debut competition will head to round three this weekend before breaking up over Christmas to return in January.
The Western and Northern teams will clash to decide the competition front-runner with both the Southern and Eastern squads hoping to put a win on the board.
