The rugby league sevens round-robin was played over two days as part of the annual week-long multi-sport event held at Raymond Terrace.
It was the first year representatives from the PCYC Far South Coast region attended and while the under 16 girls side didn't win through to the finals, they "had an absolute ball" and an amazing experience said PCYC case manager Senior Constable Sarah Bancroft.
"They gave it a good crack and really put in, despite never having played together before," Senior Constable Bancroft said of the team of Bega and Eden girls.
"They came together and bonded as a team...they should be very proud of themselves."
The Ducks debuted with a bang, winning their first game 14-4 and only narrowly losing the others to place third in their pool.
The Yuin Ducks included Mya Green-Aldridge, Karolina Gauniqio, Macey Canavan, Makahla Douglas, Susan Kennedy, Merinda Kennedy, Eliza O'Dell, Tarra Glover, Shakira Smith, Jess Howarth, Calissa Badullovich and Merindah Ladmore.
The Yuin Ducks boys, made up of Eurobodalla under 16s, won three of their four games to make the finals.
