Some of those affected joined the Bega Weavers for a day of weaving in the Bemboka Community Hall recently.
All equipment and threads were supplied without charge to the attendees, leaving them free to concentrate on the gentle art of weaving. This was made possible, in part, due to a grant from the Mumbulla Foundation.
The participants enjoyed both the weaving and the morning tea, with some intending to continue their new interest in the fibre arts.
The Bega Valley Weavers meet weekly, at the Old Bega Hospital and always welcome new members.
