Bega Valley Motors has donated a new Holden Commodore ZB worth $35,000, with the officer in charge of Bega Valley police Chief Inspector Peter Volf saying it would be a great benefit to the region's police sector.
"This vehicle can be used for the extraneous, ancillary courses, court, conveying officers to training to transporting the police where they need to be," he said.
"We're very appreciative of their sponsorship and their support."
Dealer principal and director of Bega Valley Motors Greg Brabham said he wanted to donate the car for community involvement and to assist the police with the jobs they do in the community.
"There's a lot the police do for us in the community, so we're just giving a bit back," he said.
It is the third vehicle the business has donated to the police service.
