On Thursday, Sonia Evans said she only has 7km left to run as part of Cancer Council's the March Charge.
"It was a personal challenge for me, but something to support the cause was also something I wanted to do," she said.
Her initial goal was to run 50km over the month of March, but she almost got to halfway when she was realised she had almost completed that number of kilometres, so increased it to 100km.
Ms Evans said she knows people who have been affected by cancer and been successfully treated, and others who lost their battles.
"A lot of cancers can be helped by research that's happened, but there's still cases where they don't know and aren't able to help them," she said.
"So I feel there's always more that can be done and people that need help."
