Staff, family and friends gathered to thank Mrs Hampshire her many years of service as both a school cleaner and general assistant.
"Eileen has been an institute all of her own, assuming many roles... cleaner, gardener, general 'Jill of all Trades', problem solver, master furniture removalist and holder of the title 'Queen of the Mowing Circuit'," Bombala Public School principal, Jo Tozer said.
During her time at Bombala Public School, Mrs Hampshire cultivated many lifelong friendships and nurtured not only the beautiful environment of the school but also many young minds who have enjoyed her interactions and caring nature.
"We gratefully thank Eileen for her numerous and valuable contributions to Bombala Public School and wish her the best for a long, happy and healthy retirement," Ms Tozer said.
