The movement started in 2017 as a opportunity for people to sing together in a family-friendly, relaxed environment where the emphasis was on social engagement.
“I think getting together and singing is extremely healing, and that is our number one concern for Tathra and the communities affected by the March fires,” organiser Anne Hamilton-Foster said.
The choir will focus on contemporary songs. You do not have to be able to read music to join in and it is free.
The first night will be at the Tathra Hotel on Thursday, February 7 from 6pm.
The next date is March 7, but the aim is to have extra dates between those times. Visit the Tathra Hotel’s Facebook page for updates.
The choir is supported by $999 from the Bega Valley Recovery and Resilience Grant Program.
If you have any question about the choir, call Ms Hamilton-Foster on 6494 0012.
