Our next working bee will be this Monday, February 4, 9.30am-12.30pm, and tree planting will be the aim of the day. Also don't forget our new River Sunday working bees start on February 24.
For Monday’s working bee, meet at the Anabranch picnic area on Jacksonia St (formerly Bridge St, along the River) for a quick briefing and safety talk. We will break for morning tea at 11am.
Wear sun safe clothing, sun hats, closed sturdy shoes and bring gloves, water bottle, morning tea to share, thermos. Please remember there are no toilets at the site.
River Sunday Working Bee - BRAWL will start our first of four Sunday working bees for 2019 on February 24. This will include tree planting along the river banks and education activities by a professional ecologist who will answer those niggling questions and provide a fun and informative, family friendly, working bee.
Men’s Breakfast
The Men’s Breakfast is off and running again on February 2. We are looking forward to making our time of friendly men’s fellowship together even better during 2019.
We have a great guest lined up to speak to us too … none other than the irrepressible Wassim Hayfa who has a fascinating story to tell about his early life in the Middle East and then the huge change in coming to Australia. Wassim is well known variously as owner of the Lebanese Street Food Cafe the Phoenician Man, our own super chef, and in a number of other guises.
We are looking forward to meeting up with you again on February 2, and sharing a hearty breakfast and fellowship and a chat together, 8am at St John's Anglican Hall, Church St, Bega. We hope that you, and any friends you may like to bring, can join us.
Bermagui and District CWA

The first meeting for this year will be held on Friday, February 1. There will be a sandwich lunch at 12 noon, followed by a meeting at 1pm. Please feel welcome to come along to meet the ladies, see what we do and have some fun.
Being a member of CWA is a great way to meet people and to support the community. Each year our branch donates generously to local, national and international organisations.
Our annual program offers a variety of activities including guest speakers, cooking demonstrations, craft mornings, competitions, international studies, BBQ’s and luncheons, music and drama events, trivia fun and much more.
The Bermagui branch participates in local community events whenever possible. Members also have the opportunity to attend annual Group and State Conferences.
CWA offers members friendship, personal development and the opportunity to learn new skills. New members are always welcome.
