A 35-year-old man Western Sydney man has faced court accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl in Tura Beach in September.

The man faced Bega Local Court on Tuesday, November 27 via audio visual link dressed in a green prison jumper and is yet to enter a plea.
Police allege the man sexually and indecently assaulted the girl, who police allege is known to him between September 1 and 8 this year, after allegedly grooming the 14-year-old via an online messaging application.
The man was arrested at a home in Western Sydney on November 9 and charged with sexual intercourse with a person aged between 14 and 16 and indecent assault of a person under 16.
The man was refused bail and appeared before Penrith Local Court on Friday, November 9 where he was again refused bail.
Magistrate Doug Dick told the court he would adjourn the matter to Bega Local Court on December 11 in order for police prosecutors to seek advice from the Director of Public Prosecution and for the man’s Legal Aid application to be processed.
